This Program identifies and disseminates information on policies and programs that have been evaluated based on their contribution to the improvement of quality, equity and efficiency in education systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Various projects are organized under this coordination. First, a Database that- as of 2005- had registered 119 policies and programs selected as exemplary experiences that deserve to be replicated; a Study Tour program – now finished – designed and implemented based on information in the Database and Seminars and Workshops – national and international – about policy development and improvement.
This Program also publishes Briefs on education reforms, the Best Practices Series and published the book Best Practices for Improving Education in Latin America.
The coordination of experimental projects related to the best way of incorporating crossover topics in education policy also corresponds to this Program. These projects include some of the education policies that contribute to the Eradication of Child Labor and support the strengthening of Management Capacities of the Education Sector.
